We have a network of around 550 individuals who make up the MedicAlert® Supporter Network and they have provided MedicAlert® with invaluable help in the past. The original ‘Member Volunteer Network’ project was a huge success and as a result, we re-launched it to encompass a far wider variety of activities and the programme has been renamed as the ‘MedicAlert® Supporter Network’.

This area of the site will be developed in order to provide a forum for members of the network to get up-to-date news as well as new ideas by reading about activities carried out by other supporters.

Members of the MedicAlert® Supporter Network undertake a wide variety of activities and below is a list of suggestions that may interest you. We welcome new people to the network and if you are interested in joining or would like an informal chat about the network, please email our MSN Co-ordinator at msn@medicalert.org.uk or call on 020 7833 3034.

Suggested Activities

• Do you have any area of expertise that would be useful to MedicAlert®? For example, graphic design, commercial photography, marketing.
• With our close support and guidance, could you give talks about MedicAlert® to groups in your local community?
• Are you involved in any sponsored events? If so, would you consider MedicAlert® as the beneficiary?
• Would you consider holding a fundraising event?
• Would you like to come and help us in the office with administrative tasks?
• Would you like more information about leaving us a legacy?
• Could you distribute leaflets within your local community, i.e. local doctors, hospitals, dentists, support groups, pharmacies and libraries?
• Do you have friends or family who would benefit from MedicAlert® membership? If so, would you like us to send you some application forms to pass onto them?
• Would you like to give MedicAlert® a regular donation?
